has been updated with a number of welcome improvements, the biggest of which is the promised three-click swing system that harkens back to golf games of old.

The three-click system lets you click once to initiate a swing, click again at the top of the arc, and then once more at the bottom to complete the swing. Hitting the sweet spot is the goal to execute a good swing. To ensure fairness, some online events in EA Sports PGA Tour have rules about which swing types are supported. The standard swing system will stay in the game as an option.

EA Sports PGA Tour's swing system was criticized at launch for being laggy and inconsistent. According to EA Sports, it was always planning to add a three-click swing system after launch, and now it's finally here.
