Square Enix has announced that Final Fantasy XIV's second major expansion, Stormblood, is now free to obtain for a limited time.
The developer shared the promotion today in a Twitter post, offering players the opportunity to add the expansion to their Square Enix accounts, free of charge, from March 27-May 8. The $20 Final Fantasy XIV Starter Edition--which comes with A Realm Reborn and the Heavensward expansion--and an active subscription are still required in order to play the Stormblood expansion.
Once redeemed, Stormblood will be registered to the player's accounts and will not be removed after the campaign ends on May 8. The offer is platform-wide, allowing both
