Thought it would help to put most all of my question in the thread title. I am looking for a way to do two things:
1) Have a new registration immediately be given a particular user group. This would make new volunteers joining our site a lot easier to work with as they would automatically be given a staff user group and, ideally, even the staff title being checked off -- somehow?
2) Sending a message especially for the team registered user after they join with the code or whatever -...
