The Super Mario Bros. Movie from Minions studio Illumination and Nintendo is soaring at the box office. Through its first five days, the movie has earned.

That's enough to make it the sixth highest-grossing video game movie of all time. Again, the movie needed only five days to reach that level and set that record. The movie is performing better in the US ($204.6 million) than internationally ($173 million), which is a good sign for the film and the movie studio behind it.
