The PC port of The Last of Us Part I hasn't gotten off to a great start, but developer Naughty Dog says that it is working on a new patch to make the game run more smoothly on that platform. The bad news here is that while the PC port is being prioritized, Steam Deck users will have to wait until the game is verified and improved on that system.

"A reminder that we will have a new hotfix live for The Last of Us Part I on PC tomorrow, and a patch on Friday," Naughty Dog tweeted. "While we know many of you would like to play The Last of Us Part I on Steam Deck, we are prioritizing fixes and patches before submitting it for verification. We will keep you updated of its Steam Deck status as we continue to improve the PC version."

We will share patch notes when the hotfix is live, and let you know some of what to expect in Friday's patch ahead of its launch.

The Last of Us on PC launched with a slew of and, with one strange bug resulting in characters being soaking wet for no reason at all. Tech outlet did a thorough investigation into the current state of the game, and in an hour-long video, the analysts labeled the game as "effectively a beta" and a "profound disappointment" overall.
